Good afternoon, folks. I may not get around to an evening update so I thought I would go ahead and throw one at ya a little early today. As you can imagine, the focus is on the ugly weather rolling in today and lasting through the upcoming weekend.

Rain is already moving into western Kentucky and this will sweep eastward through tonight. Locally heavy rains will carry us into Friday as the remnants of former Pacific Hurricane Willa move through. Pretty crazy to have two Pacific hurricanes to bring rain to Kentucky in la two week span.

Back by popular demand is your Kentucky radar to track the rains…

Temps on Friday will range from the upper 40s to low 50s. Winds will be gusty, making for a pretty dreary day.

A few showers will hang tight into Saturday, especially across the central and east. That’s where temps may not get out of the 40s for highs.

The next rain maker zips in on Sunday and will be accompanied by very gusty winds. Those winds may approach 40mph at times…

Rainfall totals through Monday may exceed 1″ for many areas…

That Sunday system gets whisked to our east pretty quickly as another system takes aim at us by the middle of next week. In my last update, I mentioned how the weather for Halloween was looking dicey and things have not improved today. Another cold front moves in, bringing rain and wind…

The European Model slows that system down, allowing for a deepening trough to catch it from the west. That forms a big area of low pressure that has a lot of winter with it…

The first week of November certainly has an interesting look to it.

If I can, I will update once again this evening. As usual, you can get the latest from me on WKYT-TV starting at 4pm.

Enjoy the rest of your day and take care.
