Good evening, folks. I wanted to drop by for a quick update on the active weather pattern taking shape for the next week or so. It’s one that kicks off with a stripe of Thursday night snow and ends with a couple of big thunderstorm chances.

The best chance to see a light, wet snowfall is across the northern half of the state Thursday night and early Friday. Here’s a First Call For Snowfall…

That is going to be one super-duper sharp cutoff on the southern edge of the accumulating snow.

The latest models continue the same theme…

Whatever falls won’t last very long as milder air pushes in during Friday with a few showers taking over. Milder winds blow this weekend as a big storm cranks in the plains. That could push our wind gusts to 50mph at times. This could bring some showers and strong storms at us later in the day…

That will be followed by another similar looking system rolling in here by the middle or end of next week…

Following that is another cold look for the middle and end of March…

Enjoy your evening and take care.
