Good afternoon, everyone. A light snowmaker continues to roll our way for tonight and early Friday. As we get closer, this system looks a tad stronger and farther south, giving more Kentuckians the chance for snow.

Setups like this can overachieve and that’s something we will need to be watching for as it’s unfolding. That’s why I added the local 4″ possible. Those tend to occur in mesoscale bands and are hard to pinpoint until the game is already underway.
A Winter Weather Advisory is already out for many areas and may have to be expanded…
I will have a Last Call For Snowfall coming up on WKYT-TV starting at 4pm then on KWC this evening.
As this system moves away, a potent storm ramps up in the plains and throws high winds and strong thunderstorms our way on Saturday… A littler more than 24 hours after our snowfall…
The Storm Prediction Center is targeting western Kentucky with the greatest risk for severe storms…
Some of those strong storms may actually extend farther northeast. Winds are going to be a major player, with or without thunderstorms.

Snow showing up on the radar for Lexington and Richmond, and not a thing falling from the sky, as usual. This has been the craziest winter ever!!!!
The radar been that way since 6am
Had light snow here in Bardstown during the local midday news when they claimed nothing on Ky side was hitting the ground. Too light to show up for a pic, but we had it!
It’s finally starting to fall in Richmond. I’m curious if this wind be the only decent chance we have before winter is all said and done

Just had a pretty good snow burst here on South Broadway.
Have a few flakes flying in west Lex.
Now Nelson is included in WWA, but I’m just not seeing it, unless it fills in to the NW, which it seems to be, but I’m not going to count on it. Then again, that’s about the only time we receive anything noteworthy anymore is when a heavier band forms on top of us. We shall see.
According to WPC, this weekend looks like the heavier rain is shifting more into SE KY…lol…go figure. It really is dependent upon where t-storms setup too.
