Good Sunday, everyone. As we spring forward with the clocks, I wanted to say a big thanks for all you guys have done for me and KWC. You all have been the backbone of this site for nearly 11 years and I just wanted you to know I appreciate each of you… Haters included.

As far as the weather goes, we are seeing a break in the action, but more another big storm is on the way later this coming week. Behind that, winter temps return for the second half of March.

Today is a windy day with highs topping out in the 50s for many, with some low 60s in the east.

The weather through Wednesday looks pretty nice, but temps take a small dip before ramping back up. We have a shot at 70 by the time we head into Wednesday and Thursday. That’s ahead of another potent plains storm system that brings more wind, heavy rain and another strong storms threat our way. Behind it, temps tank and winter tries to return…

As mentioned, that introduces more of a winter look to the setup…

This is a cold looking second half of March, leading to the potential for a few more shots of winter weather before spring sets in.

Unlike last year, this pattern isn’t likely to last through April. The CFS is giving us a warm look, but also a wet one…

Given the colder look from the Rockies into the Plains, that would imply an active severe weather setup in our region.

Have a great Sunday and take care.
