Good Monday, folks. With Derby Weekend now in our rearview mirror, we are looking out the windshield at warmer air pushing back in. On the horizon, we find another stormy setup ready to take place for the middle and end of the week.

Highs today are in the low and middle 70s in the east, to lower 80s in the west. Skies will be partly to mostly sunny, making for a picture perfect spring day.

Temps Tuesday and Wednesday continue to climb and could reach the middle 80s…

The threat for a few showers and storms will move back in on Tuesday, mainly in the west and north. This sets the stage for rounds of thunderstorms to target the region later Wednesday through Thursday night. This continues to have the look of a severe weather producer from the Mississippi Valley into the Ohio Valley and points south…

Much cooler air is likely to move in behind that, kickstarting a cooler than normal period for much of the central and eastern part of the country. Check out the GFS Ensembles into next week…

The threat for rain and some storms may return as early as this coming weekend or early next week. Are you shocked by that? Don’t answer… It’s rhetorical. 🙂

Have a great day and take care.
