Good Monday, everyone. As the rounds of heavy rain and thunderstorms slowly win down today, a much cooler than normal pattern is taking control of our weather. Even with this cool pattern, things can’t completely dry out. I’ve got, at least, two more systems rolling our way through the weekend.

Today’s showers and storms will be more prominent across central and eastern Kentucky as a cold front works in from the west. Heavy rains may still cause some flooding issues in these areas, but drier and cooler air takes control from west to east.

Here are your trackers for the day…

Tuesday looks like an absolutely awesome day with a mix of sun and clouds and highs only in the low and middle 70s. The day may start with temps in the 40s…

Another deep trough dives in from the northwest late Wednesday and Thursday. This will bring some gusty showers and thunderstorms with it…

That’s a cool setup that turns even cooler. Thursday’s highs may struggle to get to 70 in some areas. Lows by Friday morning may take another dip into the 40s for some…

Yet another deep trough may dive in here next weekend. This one may have more showers and thunderstorms to work with…

Temps will continue to run very cool and the GFS says we make another run toward the 40s for lows…

Another bummer of a summer? It’s starting to look that way.

Have a happy Monday and take care.
