Good Saturday and welcome to the weekend. As you are well aware, our weather pattern for the past several years has been a soggy one. Well, guess what? After a small break in the action, we have more soggy times on the way as rounds of showers and thunderstorms rumble through.

Let’s begin with today’s forecast then get the wet weather pattern started. Highs today range from 80-85 in the west to near 80 for the east. There should be a few showers or thunderstorms going up as humidity levels increase. There’s even the chance for some strong to severe storms this evening…

Here are your tracking tools for the day…

A front drops in from the northwest on Sunday, bringing showers and thunderstorms with it. Some of these storms may also be strong or severe. Here’s the Severe Weather Outlook from the SPC…

This front slows down across the region through next week, sending waves of showers and storms with it. This doesn’t mean it will storm all the time, but when it does storm, it’s gonna put down a ton of rain. The GFS shows this well over the next few weeks…

It’s also a pattern that will continue to throw some strong or severe storms at us from time to time.

Happy Friday and take care.
