Good Wednesday, everyone. You guys know I appreciate each and every single one of you, but I have a question. What the heck are you guys doing reading this blog when you could be outside enjoying this awesome weather? 🙂 This is about as good as it gets for summertime in the bluegrass state.
Temps this morning will be deep into the 50s for many areas, with a few locations flirting with record lows. A mix of sun and clouds will be noted this afternoon, but I can’t rule out a few sprinkles or a stray shower going up. That comes from a cold pocket of air passing over the top of us…
Highs will be from 75-80 for many.
The weather for Thursday and Friday continues to look very nice as temps head back into the 80s. Humidity levels will still be low, making for a very comfortable few days.
The weekend features more typical late July weather, but still doesn’t look half bad for temps. There is a storm chance taking shape, with that action really increasing as we head into next week. Watch how a couple of systems move in from the northwest and slow down…
That unsettled pattern should lead to temps coming back down some.
Ok, that’s enough. You guys go outside and enjoy this gorgeous Wednesday. Oh yea… Take care. 🙂
All the commentators on your weather blog appreciate your accuracy especially here lately. Right on with the current beautiful cool weather we are experiencing. Actually, I did some work outside yesterday on a heavy Oak tree limb that was twisted out of the top of the tree last week during a freakish storm. I had to move the debris from where I mow. Unfortunate for me as I was moving the heavy limb to where it would be out of the way it fell out of my hands and landed on my little toe on my right foot. I can hardly walk this morning so I may not be able to do any work outside. It’s inside for me for quite a while. The thing about it when my toe gets back to normal it will be back to our usual hot weather. LOL
55 degrees here this morning with clear skies. I like what I see on the current weather maps (surface presentations) the cold front along with the cold dry air aloft has made it all the way to the Gulf of Mexico. This is not typical for late July which is our hottest time of the Summer. I heard on the radio this morning that June and July have been the warmest on record globally. I don’t know who gives this information to the Press and they never give the reason why. I know in my studies that it is Solar cycles warming the Oceans and seas on Earth. Now that we have entered the next Solar cycle, the Earth’s Oceans and seas will be cooling.
Schroeder come on now use some common weather sense as weather savory as you claim to be you of all people should know this, it’s NOAA. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. That’s who provides the information to the news. NOAA is really accurate with there data keeping its one of the many things they do extremely well, and as far as given a reason why? I’m really not sure on what you’re asking?
Schroeder doesn’t know what he’s asking either. He was the only one on here for the past few days saying he didn’t agree with Chris that the cold front would come through and that the temps would drop. He has claimed in the past to have forgotten more about weather than Chris knows and look how accurate Schroeder’s forecast was.
He’s trolled this blog for the past 3-4 years and will continue to do so as long as you guys keep rising to the occasion… smh
SpaceGhost, I get your point. Schroeder absolutely drives me nuts with his made up weather BS. I’ve had it up to here with people on here defending him and then get accused of bullying. Absolutely ridiculous that some are really that naive to his ways.
I don’t understand why some of the commentators are upset with my comments. I don’t make up stuff to belittle Chris Bailey. I have deep respect for him and I enjoy chatting with anyone that wants to chat with me. I love the study of meteorology and I do regret not making it my career. That’s all. Have a great afternoon and evening my weather friends.
Not trolling……learning
That is a bold face lie that I know more than meteorologist Chris Bailey !!!
Schroeder your exact words you have said before are that you have forgotten more about the weather than Chris knows. You are the one telling a bold face lie and I will go back and find your post from the winter saying this if you deny.
Go ahead Jeff and show me the post where I said that I forgot more than what Meteorologist Chris Bailey knows ? I don’t recall. Thanks and post it on today’s 26, July comment section.
To form the Global Warming agenda.
I work 5a-230p daily but will grill out the next couple nights. 😉
Here’s a post of mine from this past Sunday that I feel says it all: Schroeder says:

I remember late September temperatures where the highs were in the upper 50’s and lows around freezing with frost and Fall foliage beginning to color. Oh how the weather patterns have changed. In my opinion, until the Gulf of Mexico waters cool off along with the other Oceans and seas on Earth we will continue not to have what I described above. The Solar cycle we are currently in, is cooling the Earth, but it will take many years before we will see a difference in the weather and seasonal changes. You are saying now” oh, that’s just Schroeder being negative again” No it isn’t, as I have been studying climatology and meteorology for over sixty years and have just recently come to the above conclusion. My opinion is base on my findings not conspiracies. After finding all of this out and being a snow lover I see no reason to continue my comments.
Temps made it to a comfortable 83 degrees today in my backyard.
Wonderful air out there! Honestly, the models two weeks out (even GFS) did better with this cool air than I thought, so I give credit when due. It still looks like a 4 day only event but it is over 10 degrees below average, especially at night:)
On this date in 1952, Louisville set the state record high temperature of 112 degrees.
But, it wasn’t in Kentucky. Try Georgia.
