Good Thursday to one and all. It’s another beautiful day in the neighborhood as our September feel rolls on across the bluegrass state. This great weather will slowly return closer to normal by the weekend as humidity levels come up and showers and storms slowly increase. Those showers and storms will really ramp up into early next week.
Until then, things are pretty nice. Temps out there today are generally in the low 80s for many. Humidity levels are low and skies are blue. Enjoy!
Friday looks like another nice day with temps in the low and middle 80s with a mostly sunny sky.
The numbers come up this weekend as humidity levels begin to increase. There is the chance for a shower or thunderstorm going up in the afternoon and evening hours, especially on Sunday.
The showers and storms will really increase into early next week as a system works slowly across the region. That may very well hang around for several days and would knock the temps down as we close July and begin August…
The Ensembles have been hinting at this and continue to do so. Here’s the 5 day average temperature departure from July 30-August 4…
The following 5 days have an even cooler look…
We shall see. Make it a great day and take care.
Make it a great day and take care.
Thanks Chris, I hope all that cool weather on the weather models pans out over the next few months and well into Autumn. Yesterday’s weather was absolutely perfect for any outdoor activity. Unfortunately, for me I was in pain with my sprung toe and to make matters worse I was verbally attack by three commentators on your blog. This hurts worse than my toe because it’s a mental pain that I will carry through the rest of my life. I know everyone has their right to their opinion on your blog. The reaction (I would call an uneducated response to my post) was unnecessary and I’m not use to being treated that way and I wouldn’t treat anyone that way because I was taught to follow the Golden Rule. I love to comment on your blog Chris and to chat in a friendly way to other commentators who wish to chat with me. But I won’t take anyone making me feel bad and depressed about myself. I would just like to be friends with everyone. End of rant.
Schroeder was it ok for you to attack others as you have on this board? You called out and put down teachers for celebrating snow days before. Quit acting like you are innocent and haven’t said anything before.
Your right Jeff that wasn’t OKAY for me to say that. And I apologize for any wrong I have done on this forum. I hope everyone accepts my apology. Please lets get this behind us so we can move forward and chat about the weather. Again I’m very sorry.
I do recall he had apologized. I’m sure you and everyone else has said something they wished they could take back. I’m as sure as guilty. For the peace of this forum, it’s time for you and others to get over it.
100% agree Shroeder! Hope today is a much bettet day for you!
Thank you Russell, here’s wishing you a great day also. With your kind post I feel better about the blog.
Still nice but just a tiny bit more humidity in far SE KY today. Tomorrow looks like the end of a phenomenal 4 day, rare late July blast of cool. We deserved this weather after a ton of rain and humidity:)
Even Houston (yes, Houston TX) has enjoyed dewpoints in the 50s which for near the Gulf coast is rather rare for this time of year! Areas of Texas including at least as far south as Austin had overnight low temperatures drop into the upper 50s which again is very unusual (if highly welcomed) for July.
Here at our home, been making very good use of our whole house fan. So nice to bring in early October like outside air while saving on the electric bill.
Yes. Temps that low in TX is definitely October level of cold. Even here, plenty of Octobers have started out warmer than this week…hint…last year was one of those years for sure:)
Next week doesn’t look too hot but rather familiar with plenty of humidity and daily rain chances.
