Good Sunday, everyone. After an absolutely amazing day of weather on Saturday, showers and storms are rumbling back into the bluegrass state today. This action increases the next few days as we await the arrival of another early fall looking and feeling cold front.

Today likely starts dry for many with temps ranging from the mid 50s in the north to the mid 60s in the south. Clouds will quickly increase as showers and storms begin to develop and push in from the southwest. Here are your weekend ending storm trackers…

Showers and thunderstorms really begin to increase overnight into Monday as our flow from the Gulf gets established…

Locally heavy rainfall is very likely with this kind of a setup and local high water issues can’t be ruled out, especially in the central and western parts of the state.

Our cold front arrives from the northwest late Tuesday and keeps showing and storms going ahead of it…

Temps on Monday may not get out of the 60s for areas getting in on a lot of clouds and rain. Temps hit the upper 70s to around 80 ahead of the front on Tuesday, but those numbers drop once it passes through. From late Wednesday through Friday looks absolutely gorgeous with lows deep in the 50s and highs mainly in the 70s.

The next front is a little slower to arrive and now threatens to bring a few showers and storms with it late Saturday or early Sunday…

That’s another blast of cool air coming in behind that system through Labor Day.

We will also keep a close eye on the tropics over the next week to see if anything can impact the overall pattern. There are a couple of systems developing, but nothing that looks like any immediate pattern changer…

Have a great Sunday and take care.
