Good Monday, everyone. It’s a soggy day kicking off the week for many across the bluegrass state. Rounds of heavy rain and thunderstorms are working in well ahead of a cold front scheduled to arrive late Tuesday. That brings another surge of early fall temperatures to the bluegrass state.

Speaking of temperatures, today’s a cool day for areas getting the majority of the rain. Temps may not get out of the upper 60s and low 70d for a large chunk of the state. Heavy rainfall may cause local high water issues, especially across central Kentucky. Much lighter amounts show up in the east. Here are your tracking toys to start the week…

Tuesday is a windy ahead of our front as temps come up a bit from what we are seeing today. Showers and thunderstorms will the increase from west to east and a few could be strong. Some very cool air is pushing this front through here…

Temps for Wednesday and Thursday will be very pleasant and may not get out of the 70s across the board. Lows reach deep into the 50s by Thursday and Friday mornings.

Temps rebound some late Friday into early Saturday ahead of another cold front dropping in from the northwest…

Another shot of cool air shows up behind that into Sunday and Labor Day. I’m going to be watching to see if that front slows down on top of the region. That’s at least a possibility/

At the same time, what’s left of Dorian may be working across the Bahamas and could even reach the Gulf of Mexico. This storm should become a hurricane in the next few days, but may get shredded once it crossed the Dominican…
