Shower Chance Starts The Weekend

Good Friday, folks. We’ve made it to the end of the week and we have the weekend sliding in with some very pleasant temperatures. I am tracking a weak disturbance out there today that can touch off a scattered shower or two.

Our day begins with temps in the low and middle 50s for many. Don’t be surprised to see a few of the traditional cold spots drop into the upper 40s. Now we’re talking!! đŸ™‚ A mix of sun and clouds will take control from here as temps rebound into the upper 70s for many, but  a few low 80s show up out west and in the south.

Clouds thicken this afternoon as a weak boundary moves in from the northwest. A few showers will be noted along this boundary from late this afternoon into tonight. Here’s regional radar to help your out…

Clouds may linger into Saturday across central and eastern Kentucky and there could still be an early day shower. This looks like a very pleasant day with many areas staying in the 70s.

Another system drops toward us late Sunday into Monday. Clouds will stream in ahead of this and a shower or thunderstorm will also be possible.

Temps behind that shower threat will take off and turn toasty into the middle of the week. This will come with a few showers and storms that should increase late in the week as a potent front approaches from the west…

Another nice cool shot should follow that one up.

Hurricane Dorian continues to push across areas of North Carolina today. This storm has caused a lot of destruction along the southeast coastline…

Take our interactive radar for a spin and track Dorian up close and personal…

As this storm finally pulls away from the Carolinas today, it will likely deliver a glancing blow to areas of the northeast…

With Dorian getting out of the way, we will start to talk about fall and winter in the coming days. Spread the word. đŸ™‚

Have a great Saturday and take care.
