Good Sunday everyone and thanks for checking on to see what we have to say on KWC. We are coming off a fantastic day of weather and today shouldn’t be too shabby. Things look to get crack-a-lackin as we roll into the week ahead with heat and humidity and rounds of storms taking center stage.
The short term weather features temps in the upper 80s to near 90 for much of central and eastern Kentucky today. The western part of the state will hit the mid and upper 90s. That part of the state continues to be in dire need of rainfall as the “off the charts” drought continues. Any popcorn storm today looks to be mainly in the south or east.
Monday looks to feature similar weather as we add a degree or two on top of what we have today. We may also see a tad better coverage with those pop up showers and storms in the afternoon and evening hours.
The storm action will really get going for the middle and end of the week as our pattern begins to look similar to last week. Rounds of storms will form to our northwest and then come rolling southeastward into the state. Some of these storms could be strong or severe with torrential rains a possibility. The GFS continues to advertise a corridor of storm rains through Kentucky…
Let’s get back to the weather of the precious present. Here’s how you track it…
