Good evening, folks. Our wicked winter weather day keeps throwing some snow showers and a few squalls at us. This is Lake Michigan doing its thing on a strong northwest wind and arctic cold temps. Those arctic cold numbers may set record lows Wednesday morning if we can completely clear the skies.

Before we start things out, give a listen to the new Kentucky Weather Podcast. We talk about the current snow, drop some winter forecast hints and I make fun of Jim in Jorts. 🙂

Snow showers and a few squalls are still rolling this evening as the northwest flow off Lake Michigan does it again. Watch for some hit and run coatings across the eastern half of the state and this may whiten a few roads for some. Maybe another snow day or two tomorrow?

Record lows tonight are very possible in many areas. A few of the colder valleys may drop into the high single digits, marking the earliest singles on record. Wind chills may flirt with 0 at times. OUCH!!

Temps rebound as the week rolls on, but the numbers are still colder than normal. There are a couple of troughs digging in to keep the numbers down. The pattern I see taking shape can spawn a big storm system or two, including more winter weather. We will get into all that later tonight.

I leave you with your Monday evening snow shower and bitter cold trackers…
