Good afternoon, everyone. We have a nice looking final day of February showing up across the region with the first day of March looking even better. Wow… Are we really about ready to begin the third month of the year? That seems crazy to me. Slow. Down. Time.

Temps this afternoon range from the middle 30s to the low 40s with mostly sunny skies. Temps tonight reach the 20s, but your Sunday looks amazing. Clouds will increase with temps making a run at the low 60s for many.

The trend for the week ahead setup continues for be much less rain than what the models were forecasting. The initial front moving in for Monday and early Tuesday has more of a push to it and you can see that on the NAM…

If that happens, the main corridor of heaviest rain will then shift south for Wednesday. Still, heavy rains through Tuesday look likely. Here’s the NAM into Tuesday…

Here’s the GFS rain map through the rest of the week…

The GFS ensembles continue to be aimed a little farther north, but the heaviest is south…

Here’s hoping that trend continues, folks! We don’t want any part of that setup.

A few flakes may follow that with some colder air by the end of the week. Once into next weekend and beyond, it’s a warm signal showing up through the middle of March…
