Good Sunday, everyone. Today is a winner of a weather day as mild temps join our sun-filled sky. The overall pattern continues to skew milder than normal in the coming weeks, but it’s also getting more active. That will lead to rounds of showers and storms showing up. No, it’s not raining each and every day, but the action will be showing up. 🙂
Today is amazing.
Clouds will filter in tonight ahead of our next shower and storm maker arriving from west to east late Monday. This keeps things a little wet into Tuesday with another system to follow that up on Wednesday…
GFS
Another system will then follow that up by the weekend, but the models are waffling a bit on where it goes. There’s a little colder trend with this system initially, but it would be followed up by a big temps spike and additional systems.
The GFS is even trying to spit out some weekend winter stuff…
The Euro doesn’t show the weekend winter potential as much, but it is colder and does have a similar temps surge and storm system to follow…
I will have anther update later today. Have a good one and take care.
Thanks Chris, I’ll take it, and hope we don’t have any severe weather and flooding rains in the coming week. Glad the cooler nights are keeping plants and trees dormant, at lease here at my place. I would hate to see a late freeze in April though. On another subject that I brought up yesterday about ” night time tornadoes ” was intelligently answered by Virgil E and TennMark and I greatly appreciate all their information. Have a great and quiet Sunday everyone.
You’re welcome. However, I do need to correct myself. The stats were actually for the percentage of night tornadoes, not the number count.
As a recap, the top three states with nighttime tornadoes according to The Weather Channel:
1) Tennessee
2) Arkansas
3) Kentucky
Thanks again TennMark. Whenever there is a ” Tornado Warning ” for Taylor County, I will be on the Kentucky Weather Center until they give it the all clear and I would stay up all night if I have to. If I was young again and strong I would be down in Cookeville, Tennessee to volunteer my help. I just can’t get over the m*a*s*sive devastation and all the lives that were changed in just a short time. Lets all pray and hope this event never happens again anywhere. Take care and may God Bless.
