Good Saturday evening to one and all. The feel of winter was in the air today across the bluegrass state. Thermometers were even colder than what I thought and that’s saying something. 😉 Speaking of winter, our next system is likely to bring a touch of it our way by Monday night and Tuesday.

Low pressure will track just to our south and this will bring rain and snow into the region by late Monday evening. The rain/snow line looks to set up right across us and where that sets up could be the difference between rain mixing with snow or a few inches of slush.

Each model run that comes out continues to show the northern half of the state having the possibility of some accumulating snow. The latest NAM is rather aggressive…

The European Model shows our low rolling eastward across Tennessee by Tuesday morning…

That’s a colder look that some the GFS and NAM and MAY mean a little better chance at snow farther south.

I’ve talked about this being a rain ending as snow system for almost a week and I continue to like that scenario, at least. I must say, the closer we get to this thing, the better the chances are of squeezing out a slushy accumulation for some.

A full update comes your way later tonight. Enjoy the evening and take care.
