Good Sunday evening. Things continue to progress nicely toward a little taste of winter as we roll into Monday night and Tuesday. Our weak moving system rolls into town by Monday evening and continues into Tuesday morning.

There isn’t a ton of moisture for this system to work with and the actual area of low pressure is pretty weak. That combination means light rain develops Monday evening then ends as a period of light snow for some late Monday night and Tuesday morning. There may be just enough to put down a slushy, light accumulation on the cars, rooftops and grass.

The GFS shows what I mean…

That’s just enough to remind us that winter is on the way. Speaking of… I will get my WKYT version of the winter forecast on here at some point this week. For those commenting in the last update… the forecast said the majority of our snow would come from mid January through mid February. 😉

I’ll see you guys later tonight. Have a great evening and take care.
