Good Saturday to one and all. I’m going to just hit the high points with this update because I’m just not feeling the best in the world. Nothing like catching a bug as the weekend begins. Regardless… the weather never stops and neither do I.

Let’s start with our weekend weather and work toward some of the good stuff.

Clouds will continue to thicken today as scattered showers move in from the west. This is NOTย  washout of a weekend, but you will need to have the umbrella by your side to be safe. Temps will generally run in the 50s.

This bring us to the next area of low pressure to work across the region by Monday. This will bring more rain and some gusty winds to start and should knock temps down enough for a couple of snow showers and flurries late Monday night and early Tuesday. The GFS is finally coming around to reality (though it’s not quite there yet)…

The systems are coming fast and furious at us next week with the next one quickly scooting across the region by Thursday. This one will have the coldest air, to date, behind it and should give us a significant temperature drop from Thursday morning to Thursday evening.

Here’s the European Model…

ย

Even the GFS is picking up on this big blast…

ย

ย After the front blows through here, a massive cutoff low is forecast to develop across our region through next weekend into early Christmas week. The Canadian and European Models are very similar…

This pattern will feature a prolonged stretch of very cold temps with highs in the 20s, gusty winds and snow squalls. There may also be a few systems dropping in from the northwest to deliver better snow chances.

Maybe those dreams of a white Christmas will come true. Keep the fingers AND toes crossed. ๐Ÿ™‚

I will have more updates later today. Have a great Saturday and take care.
