Good Saturday evening everyone. Your friendly weatherdude continue to fight through a little bug, but I’m still watching each and every model run coming down the pike.

I have no changes to the thoughts I’ve been putting forward for a few days, now. Scattered showers will carry us into Sunday as temps hang on the mild side. The next area of low pressure works right on top of us Monday as it works to the northeast. That will bring rain and gusty winds our way before giving us the chance for a few snow showers or flurries by Tuesday morning. The European Model shows the cold air dipping in behind the low…

After a dry and dull Wednesday, the action quickly picks up again by Thursday. That’s when a powerful system works across the plains states and into the Great Lakes. That drags a big time front through here and delivers us a massive temp drop. Check out the impressive look on the European Model…

Rain and thunder early Thursday should quickly transition over to a period of snow behind the front. Northwesterly winds will then kick in and should be able to deliver us widespread snow showers and squalls on Friday. Temps by Friday should stay in the 20s with gusty winds making it feel closer to 10 degrees.

The pattern then keeps dropping cold shots and possible light snow makers our way through the weekend…

We will have to take those systems one at a time to see if they can put down some snow around here. Check out the Christmas Morning map. Notice the Arctic air across the Great Lakes and the warm air across Texas with low pressure developing in southeastern Colorado. Every single model has a similar look during that time. That’s very interesting.

I will have another update later tonight. Until then… What happens when Gangnam Style meets Christmas lights? Here ya go…

Have a great evening and take care.
