Good Monday, everybody. We are in the middle of one heck of a nice spring pattern here in the bluegrass state. Temps are running above normal and will go way above over the next couple of days. That will be ahead of a strong cold front that booms through here later in the week

Temps today will be back into the 70s with a small threat for a shower or thunderstorm.

Tuesday and Wednesday will find readings heading toward 80 degrees on a strong southwesterly wind. Some late day thunderstorms will be possible in the west on Wednesday as our cold front eases eastward. This front may bring some strong storms into the region as it does have quite the temperature contrast to work with…

We may go from 80 degrees on Wednesday to near 50 by Friday.  The GFS Ensembles show how the chill shoves the warmth on out of here…GFS 3

Readings by Saturday morning will likely hit the upper 20s for most areas. Sunshine will return this weekend as temps moderate closer to normal by Sunday.

Have a wonderful Monday and take care.
