Good Friday to one and all. We have a much different brand of air pushing into Kentucky today as our round of summer comes to a crashing end. That crashing sound came in the form of severe thunderstorms that rolled through here last evening.

The weather today will be much quieter with a mix of sun and clouds and temps struggling to get into the lower 50s. Gusty winds will make it feel even colder. Readings hit the upper 20s and low 30s Saturday morning under a mainly clear sky. Saturday will look a lot like today with temps back into the 50s.

Sunday starts the warm up with thermometers back into the 60s. That will come along with mostly sunny skies that will carry us into the start of next week. Temps will soar back into the upper 70s and low 80s for highs. That doesn’t look to last very long as another blast of cold swings in by the end of the week…

Euro

That is a heck of a shot of cold showing up on the European and it has support from other models and the overall pattern setup. That can also lead to another severe weather outbreak from the plains into the east. This shows up well on the GFS rainfall forecast through next Friday…

GFS Rain

Make it a great Friday and take care.
