Good Monday, weather lovers. Temps are finally warming up out there today, but this isn’t a trend that’s going to last very long. Another strong cold front is going to sweep across the region by the middle of the week and it will usher in another round of spring chill. Yippee!

Skies will be mainly sunny with thermometer readings hitting the upper 60s to low 70s on this Earth Day . Tuesday will be even warmer with most temps in the 70-75 degree range. Winds will become gusty and clouds will increase ahead of our cold front that arrives on the scene by Tuesday night.

That front will produce a line of showers and thunderstorms and that shows up well on the NAM…

NAM 1

A few of the storms may be strong… especially across the west. Temps will come crashing down as the front passes and may not get out of the upper 40s and low 50s on Wednesday afternoon.

Colder than normal air will hang around for Thursday and Friday and we may even deal with a weak system diving in from the northwest.

A moisture laden system will work in for the weekend and will likely produce showers and thunderstorms…

GFS

Heavy rainfall is possible by Saturday and Sunday.

Have a great day and take care.
