Good Friday evening, gang. Another clipper is on the way to the state as we roll into the weekend. This one will deliver a band of light snow and gusty winds from late Saturday afternoon into Saturday night. Here’s a look at how much snow may fall…
Gusty winds will blow the snow around and we are likely to see slick spots develop on area roads.
Next week will feature more systems diving in from the northwest and these will begin to unleash bitterly cold air. Highs in the teens with lows that could approach 0 in some areas will be a good bet for the middle and end of the week.
Keep an eye on next weekend for the potential of a full blown storm system developing ahead of a bigger blast of arctic air. Look at what the GFS is pulling down behind that…
A prolonged period of harsh weather is beginning across much of the country.
Enjoy your evening and take care.
Thanks Chris we actually have snow covering the ground although it is just a coating
Gee, Looks like that Global Warming is kicking into High gear around here.. /end sarcasm
I’m hoping those 2 inch snows drop a little further south Chris, but I’ll take what we can get at this point of the winter!
This last little burst over NE Louisville put us over 3″ now. Not too bad.
thanks, Chris!
exciting weather for sure. maybe one of these systems will blow up big.
stay warm everybody!
Thanks for all the updates Chris. 🙂 try and get some rest between clippers. 🙂
I hear Chris is going to be dressed as the Smokey mascot tomorrow at Rupp! Go orange 😉 !
Ban! 🙂
Lol. Uh oh. Now I’d pay to see the CB.
*that
Bring it, with all of this cold, the snow can’t elude us forever. Have had some but the 5″ plus snow is right around the corner. BE POSITIVE AND THINK SNOW!
Thanks for the update Chris. I am glad to see the snow, wishing for more.
Is the temp map above giving negative
Numbers in Celsius or Fahrenheit?
Thanks ahead of time!
🙂
Yeah is that daytime highs or lows??? If that is high temps then we will be 20-30 below at night correct?
I believe it is lows in Fahrenheit. May be wrong.
Continued light snow and flurries in London. Enjoyed the snow today…ended up being plenty to play in with the kids! Looking like we may get a little more tomorrow. Any thoughts on Monday night, anyone? Weak clipper??? Possible overachiever???
Sorry if this is repeated… Nothing in Richmond today. Again.
