Good Saturday to one and all. We have a much better looking weekend tipping off in the bluegrass state. Sunny skies will go a long way to dry things out. That is certainly needed after the recent heavy rains and the next round of heavy rain on the way.
Temps today will be cold to start with upper 20s to low 30s. Sunny skies will boost temps through the 50s this afternoon.
Sunday looks even better with highs in the 60s with sunny skies to start. Clouds will increase later in the day as low pressure moves our way from the southwest. That brings heavy rain and thunderstorms our way later Sunday night through Monday…
We will have to keep a close eye on the creeks and streams from Monday into Monday night. 1″-2″ of rain may fall during this time.
Lingering showers will be around into Tuesday as colder air pushes in. That chill settles in for the middle of the week before the back and forth pattern sets back up…
Have a great Saturday and take care.
Models stink for temps again for this area roughly 10 degrees warmer then predicted but thats ok
Thanks Chris. Going to enjoy the two beautiful days we have for the weekend, and worry about the rest as it happens. Sure do like the warmer temps we are getting though. Only thing is, that means mowing the yard. Ah…..Spring! so glad you are finally here! Have a great Saturday everyone, and GO CATS!!!
Seems to me the models have been having a hard time figuring out what’s going to happen Wednesday-Friday. Temps near 70 showing up now when 40’s had been forecasted previously. I had even had hopes of seeing another snowflake!
Go Big Blue!

NWS Nashville had to postpone a Skywarn course for April 3 in Clarksville TN due to the severe wx that day, will be rescheduled.

The good news is that the Storm Prediction Center feels the risk for severe wx across the country will be rather low for the next week or so. As CB mentioned, some upcoming t-storms could still have some heavy rains. But the next elevated chances for severe wx may not be until roughly the April 11-14 range, so enjoy!
I meant to say the severe wx threat for our area will be low the next week or so (a few severe storms are possible near the Gulf Coast the next few days).
I hope we don’t have any severe weather.I don’t even mind some rain and thunder but the tornadoes I don’t like to think about.
Been a really nice day here.Cool with lots of sunshine.Nice little breeze blowing off and on.Looking forward to another beautiful day tomorrow.
