Good evening, everyone. It’s a nice looking day wrapping up out there and things get much better for Friday. That’s not going to be the case as we head into the weekend. That’s when we get into a very wet setup that can lead to some local high water issues.

Let’s make sure to enjoy our Friday. Highs will hit the mid and upper 50s for many, with a 60 degree reading showing up in the south and west. Clouds will increase, but I can’t complain about some clouds if it’s gonna be that mild on a Friday. 🙂

Rain arrives Friday night into early Saturday and it appears to come at us in waves. The greatest concentration of rain falls in the south and east. This is where we may see some local high water issues develop.

My threat map…

The NAM rainfall numbers go through early Sunday evening and show some 4″ amounts in the southeast…

The GFS numbers through Monday are also picking up on those totals…

Some frozen precipitation may then show up across western Kentucky at some point late Saturday night into Sunday. The NAM shows some freezing rain accumulation…

The GFS is also seeing that, then adding some in the north Sunday night and Monday…

Enjoy your evening and take care.
