Good evening, folks. It’s another old one out there, but spring is going to try to punch back for a few days, before winter flexes more muscle into next week. Again, while we will get some spring days, the overall pattern doesn’t look very much like spring over the next few weeks.

Thursday’s weather looks gorgeous with highs reaching the  50s in many areas, with the 60s in the far west. Enjoy it, because some ugly weather rolls back in on Friday. Temps will be MUCH colder and may not get to 40 in a few spots, with showers rolling through. A touch of sleet can’t be ruled out.

You can see how this system lingers into Saturday on the GFS…

Depending on where the front sets up, this will make for one heck of a tricky temp forecast for Saturday. The differences on the NAM and GFS are obvious…

NAM

GFS

Regardless of which one wins, temps should turn milder for Sunday and Monday, as another strong storm system targets the region. This may bring thunder and lightning ahead of it, with a quick return to winter behind it…

The pattern for the rest of March can deliver is very active and can deliver everything from snow to strong storms. Yippee.

Enjoy your evening and take care.
