Good afternoon, everyone. As rounds of heavy rain keep rolling across the state, we continue to track the flood threat for much of the state. As we do this, we are also looking ahead toward a very ugly first week or two of April.
Before we get to all that, here are the tracking tools for today’s rain and possible flooding…
I have no changes from my earlier thoughts on how the weekend plays out. The same goes for next week, with winter and spring continuing to smack each other around.
The GFS Ensembles snow forecast for the next two weeks isn’t a good look for spring lovers…
You have a while before true spring can lock in. I will update things later this evening, so check back.
Enjoy the afternoon and take care.
At least a lot of KY looks out of the snow zone and are on the fringe. Winning! Just say No to salt! Poor slugs don’t stand a chance this spring and are valuable to our ecosystem! 🙂
I still don’t think it will be as long as the models think.
Your confusing “hope” with reality. Reality is winter is going and giving Spring all sorts of colder than normal issues and more likely will for quite sometime this Spring season.
You are incorrect to say that I am confusing anything. The reality is that models have been wrong plenty of times.
totally agree
But Bailey is saying that it will be a while before true spring locks in. Are you saying he is wrong as well?
I need to seed some bare spots in my yard and have been waiting until the chances for snow is finally gone for good. At this rate, I won’t be seeding until June.
Most of those snow maps were eye candy during the winter, I wouldn’t expect that to change at this point. With normal highs moving into the low 60s soon a 10 degree below normal temperature day would still keep us around 50.
