Good Monday, everyone. Rounds of showers and thunderstorms are increasing today as our big upper low presses in from the west. This system means a lot of wet weather and temps that will run much cooler than normal in the coming days.
As mentioned, showers and storms are on the move today and a few could be strong before all is said and done. Locally heavy rains are also likely with the action going up. Here’s the severe risk from the SPC…
Rounds of showers and thunderstorms will continue through the middle of the week as temps stay cooler than normal.
Unfortunately, another system looks to impact our weather late this week into the coming weekend…
That keeps the wet weather threat going for a while longer and should also act to keep our temps below average.
i have you all set to track today’s storms…
Have a great start to the week and take care.
I used to have satellite view of the storm chasers map but lately it is road map view. Is there a way to change it back to Satellite so that I can zoom in and and know where a storm is at with greater accuracy? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
The high temperature of 69 degrees for July 29, 2018 at Barrow, AK was the warmest since a high of 72 degrees on July 30, 2009, a span of about 9 years. And no, it wasn’t a record high for the date (71, 1968). The all-time high of 79 was set July 13, 1993.
