Good Wednesday, everyone. We have a super warm pattern ready to take shape across the Commonwealth, giving us a true summer look and feel. Before we get to that, a few showers and storms are on the move today. This action is rolling in on a northwest flow that’s about to finally go away.
Today’s showers and storms won’t be terribly widespread, but a cluster of storms may dive in from northwest to southeast. The best chance of that happening is across central and western Kentucky. Here’s regional radar for your Wednesday storm tracking needs…
Temps on Thursday hit the 70s for many, with some local 80 degree temps showing up. There’s just a small chance for a shower or storm going up. A better chance for a storm or two will be around on Friday as the real deal summer feel moves in…
Temps hit the low and mid 80s on Friday and may reach the upper 80s this weekend…
A few showers and storms will also be floating around at times this weekend and that continues into early next week…
We will need to watch for a few strong or severe rounds in that type of a setup;
The overall setup for the next 10 days may continue to skew warmer than normal for much of the eastern half of the country. The GFS Ensembles are showing this well
Make it a great day and take care.
I’m all about that warmth.. BRING IT
Same!
This morning the temperature in my back yard is 46 degrees and the dew point the same. So as we all know the relative humidity is 100%. The days ahead the dew points will only rise with the temperatures to almost uncomfortable levels and my air conditioners will be in operation. Summer may be here ? Forecasters in my area have taking down the high temperature to 85 degrees for Saturday with only an isolated chance of showers. Not bad yet but this depends on the dew point temperature. I heard that storm chasers are heading to areas of the central plains Friday as a dry line is expected to form. Could be very active in the way of tornadoes ?
As it is getting lighter outside, I looked out and in my front field which is quite large area of my real estate the wild Blackberries are in maximum full bloom and a heavy bloom too. When the berries mature and there is drier weather we will have a bumper crop. Last year most of the berries rotted because of the excessive humidity and rain. #bigtimeblackberrywinter
