Good Friday to one and all. Rounds of showers and thunderstorms are working across the state today and this is kicking off a very active period. It’s not a washout of a weekend, but the threat for a boomer or two will be with us through Mother’s Day. Big changes are lurking after that.<\/p>\n
Let’s break it all down with the headlines…<\/p>\n
– Storms will come at us in waves today into tonight. We do run the risk of a few strong or severe storms… especially across western parts of the state.<\/p>\n
– Winds will be very gusty all day and could reach 35mph at times. Highs will hit the low 80s in the east with mid and upper 70s elsewhere.<\/p>\n
– Scattered storms will be possible for Saturday into Mother’s Day. Highs Saturday will be in the middle 70s with upper 70s to near 80 on Sunday. This is not a washout and you will have several dry hours to get out and enjoy.<\/p>\n
– Monday will find temps returning to the 80s on a very strong southwesterly wind. Isolated storms will be possible.<\/p>\n
– A strong cold front enters the picture on Tuesday and that could bring a line of strong or severe storms sweeping eastward across the state.<\/p>\n
– Much cooler and unsettled conditions move in for the middle and end of next week.<\/p>\n
