Good Friday gang and welcome to the weekend. The heat is pushing into the area as we speak and once it gets into town… it will be in no big hurry to leave. So… get your best VH1<\/span> game face on and repeat after me… I LOVE THE 90S<\/span>! <\/p>\n

There is not a whole lot I can say about it all other than it is going to be hot and humid starting today and likely lasting through next week as a heat wave will grip the country from the Rockies to the east coast. It all starts today as temps warm into the low and mid 90s<\/span> in the west and to near 90 in the east.<\/p>\n

Saturday and Sunday will see the heat really cranking up across the entire area as highs reach the lower and mid 90s<\/span> for just about the entire region. Throw in an increase in humidity and you can get a “feel like” temp of 100 degrees or better. That will inch some areas closer to the danger category for heat.<\/p>\n

Because of all the heat and humidity… There is a shot for an afternoon shower or thunderstorm this weekend. A slightly better chance for some storms will be with us from Sunday into early next week.<\/p>\n

Highs for much of next week will likely stay in the low to mid 90s<\/span> across most of the area. Some of the models have been hitting the heat even harder by the end of the week. The European Model is leading the toasty charge…<\/p>\n
