Temps and humidity levels are both going to soar today as warm and humid air surges in from the south and southwest. The threat for a few scattered thunderstorms will be with us during this time as well.\u00a0Get used to hearing that. <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/emoticons\/wink.png\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Our warm front will continue to slide to our north today&#8230; thunderstorms will be along this front and the best risk area for some of those storms to sneak in will be\u00a0across the north. As a matter of fact.. the Storm Prediction Center has the slight risk area for severe thunderstorms barely getting into our northern counties&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.spc.noaa.gov\/products\/outlook\/day1otlk.html\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"582\" height=\"408\" style=\"width: 520px; height: 384px;\" alt=\"Latest Day 1 convective outlook\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spc.noaa.gov\/products\/outlook\/day1otlk.gif\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Most of the region should miss out on the storms today as the bulk of the action will be to our north. But&#8230; we will watch to see if a few sneak in here. Follow any action on regional radar&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.accuweather.com\/radar-large.asp?partner=netweather&amp;traveler=0&amp;site=KY_&amp;type=SIR&amp;anim=1&amp;level=state&amp;large=1#\" s_oc=\"null\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"radar_img_6x4\" src=\"http:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" usemap=\"#largemap\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Highs will hit the mid and upper <span id=\"RadESpellError_0\" class=\"RadEWrongWord\">80s<\/span> this afternoon and with the humid conditions&#8230; it will feel muggy!<\/p>\n<p>A fairly strong cold front will sweep in here on Friday and this front will have a lot of moisture to work with meaning more rounds of showers and thunderstorms. Just like Wednesday&#8230;. these will have the potential to put down some very heavy rains that can cause some local high water problems.<\/p>\n<p>Some of those could also be severe and the <span id=\"RadESpellError_1\" class=\"RadEWrongWord\">SPC<\/span> has much of the region in the slight risk area&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"582\" height=\"408\" style=\"width: 518px; height: 363px;\" alt=\"SPC Day 2 0600Z Outlook Categorical\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spc.noaa.gov\/products\/outlook\/day2otlk_0600.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The front will barely clear our region as it pushed into Tennessee and puts the brakes on for Saturday.This should give us some very nice weather with highs in the <span id=\"RadESpellError_2\" class=\"RadEWrongWord\">70s<\/span> and some sunshine.\u00a0Low pressure will develop along the front to our southwest by Sunday. This will cause clouds to increase around here and showers and storms won&#8217;t be far behind as those should get in by Sunday night and Monday as the low works into the western Ohio Valley. <\/p>\n<p>Here is what the <span id=\"RadESpellError_3\" class=\"RadEWrongWord\">GFS<\/span> is seeing&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Monday Afternoon<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nco.ncep.noaa.gov\/pmb\/nwprod\/analysis\/namer\/gfs\/00\/images\/gfs_pcp_114s.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Monday Evening<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nco.ncep.noaa.gov\/pmb\/nwprod\/analysis\/namer\/gfs\/00\/images\/gfs_pcp_120s.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p>That setup could lead to more strong storms and heavy rains.
