Our strong cold front moved through the state overnight with a broken line of thunderstorms. Daytime highs will struggle into the lower 60s today and for Mother’s Day Sunday. Skies today will feature a mix of sun and clouds… especially in the afternoon. There could be just enough juice to squeeze out a sprinkle or two… especially in the north.

Keep an eye on Sunday and Monday mornings as thermometers head down into the middle and upper 30s. This COULD lead to some patchy frost in a few of the traditional cold spots if skies are clear.

Much warmer air will surge back in here as we head toward Tuesday. This will force a warm front to lift to the northeast across the area and this front will bring showers and thunderstorms with it. Check the GFS out…

Monday Night

Tuesday Morning

As low pressure heads toward the Great Lakes Tuesday and Wednesday… it will drag a cold front toward the Ohio River.
