Much of the state picked up torrential rains from Saturday into last night. Anywhere from an inch or two to as much as 7 inches of rain has fallen in some areas. Those numbers are changing by the minute as we continue to see heavy rains working across the area.

The FLASH FLOOD THREAT for today and tonight is VERY high so please use caution and be alert to this increasing possibility. An additional, widespread 1″-3″ of rain is likely by Monday morning. That is in general as areas that get under repeat thunderstorms will pick up a whole lot more than that.

In addition to the flood risk… strong and severe thunderstorms will be possible into tonight as well. Here is the latest from the Storm Prediction Center…

Damaging winds and large hail will be the main players today with a smaller risk for a few tornadoes.

Here are your storm tracking radars…

The good folks at Kentucky Mesonet have a great real time system to track the weather across the state.
