We are entering into a rather active period of weather that will carry us into the coming weekend. This means a big time increase in showers and thunderstorms from Friday through Sunday and will lead to the threat for severe weather and heavy rains.<\/p>\n<p>Some shower\u00a0action may try to break out today&#8230; especially across the west and north as\u00a0a weak boundary settles in. If anything does go up&#8230; you can track it here&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.accuweather.com\/radar-large.asp?partner=netweather&amp;traveler=0&amp;site=KY_&amp;type=SIR&amp;anim=1&amp;level=state&amp;large=1#\" s_oc=\"null\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"radar_img_6x4\" src=\"http:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" usemap=\"#largemap\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That same boundary will work back to the north as a warm front on Friday. Showers and some thunderstorms will be draped along this warm front. This will be a temp forecasting nightmare as we will likely get a good gradient setting up. Areas getting in on the bulk of the showers and storms may see <span id=\"RadESpellError_1\" class=\"RadEWrongWord\">50s<\/span> while those south of the warm front will try to spike toward the low <span id=\"RadESpellError_2\" class=\"RadEWrongWord\">70s<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The plains storm will really crank up late Friday into Saturday. Warm, moist and unstable air will surge in here Saturday leading to scattered thunderstorms. A huge complex of storms will develop well to our southwest and come racing northeast toward our part of the world. You can see that nicely here on the <span id=\"RadESpellError_4\" class=\"RadEWrongWord\">GFS<\/span>..<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday Afternoon<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nco.ncep.noaa.gov\/pmb\/nwprod\/analysis\/namer\/gfs\/00\/images\/gfs_pcp_066s.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday Evening<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nco.ncep.noaa.gov\/pmb\/nwprod\/analysis\/namer\/gfs\/00\/images\/gfs_pcp_072s.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The stage is being set for a potentially significant severe weather outbreak across the Mississippi River Valley into the Ohio Valley on Saturday. Does that mean it will include us? It does not&#8230; but the chance is certainly there. Here is the area I am outlining for the possibility for severe weather Saturday into Saturday night&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" style=\"border: 0px solid;\" src=\"http:\/\/images.quickblogcast.com\/0\/4\/8\/0\/3\/139967-130840\/Special1.png?a=70\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I will fine tune that outlook as we get closer to the weekend.
