The question becomes, can we get some accumulations? The short answer is yes&#8230; for some.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s October and we still have a wet ground so a lot of what falls will melt. That doesn&#8217;t mean we can get <strong>some slushy accumulation on elevated and grassy surfaces<\/strong>. Here&#8217;s my first threat outlook&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Special1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-11441\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Special1.png\" alt=\"Special1\" width=\"514\" height=\"350\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Special1.png 514w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Special1-300x204.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 514px) 100vw, 514px\" \/><\/a>Areas across southeastern Kentucky have the potential to pick up more than just a grassy coating. The potential is there for some decent totals, especially in the mountains. The WPC has the area highlighted for the potential of 4:+ of snow&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/HPC.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-11439\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/HPC.png\" alt=\"HPC\" width=\"286\" height=\"247\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The latest run of the NAM went a little overboard with totals down there&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/NAM7.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-11440\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/NAM7.png\" alt=\"NAM\" width=\"419\" height=\"473\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/NAM7.png 419w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/NAM7-265x300.png 265w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 419px) 100vw, 419px\" \/><\/a>I am nowhere near ready to buy anything like that, but I will keep watching the progression of this vigorous system.
