Good evening, gang. Rounds of snow showers and flurries continue to fly across the state and some light accumulations will be possible. We’re seeing temps in the 20s with wind chills in the teens. Ouch. This may be a primer for what’s to come as we head into late weekend and early next week.<\/p>\n

My thoughts on the pattern have not changed. We get one weakening band of light snow and flurries in here Saturday night. That shouldn’t amount to a whole lot. The system behind that is the one that keeps getting my attention.<\/p>\n

The European Model puts a thumping snow down in many areas Sunday night and Monday…<\/p>\n

\"Euro<\/a> The new High Resolution GFS has a similar swath of snow, but is a bit more generous across the southeastern part of the state…<\/p>\n

\"GFS\"<\/p>\n

The regular run of the GFS is showing why it’s about to be terminated. It’s doing what it always does and has totally lost the storm. Don’t trust the GFS or NAM until within 48-60 hours or so.<\/p>\n

It’s still too early for me to get specific with snowfall totals and location, but I do believe accumulating snows are likely Sunday night and Monday.<\/p>\n
