Good Sunday afternoon, gang. Things continue to progress nicely toward a significant blast of winter to impact our region over the next couple of days. I’ve seen nothing this morning that would make me think much differently than what I already put out there. Of course, a few changes will have to be made to tighten up the snow numbers and placement. That’s always the case as we get closer to an event. That will come later this evening with a Final Call For Snowfall.<\/p>\n

The Weather Prediction Center (similar to the Storm Prediction Center for severe weather) is pretty gung-ho on the potential for 4″+ snows across parts of the region. Check out the moderate risk they have…<\/p>\n

\"WPC\"<\/a>That matches up well with the areas I’ve been highlighting for the potential heaviest snowfall. See… I’m not the only one thinking about this band of heavy snow setting up late tonight and Monday morning. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Much of the region is under a Winter Weather Advisory with a WINTER STORM WARNING out for northern Kentucky…<\/p>\n

Don’t be surprised if areas farther southwest along the Ohio River near Louisville get upgraded to a warning.<\/p>\n

I’m becoming more interested in the snow showers and squalls coming behind this Monday afternoon into Monday evening. These can cause some issues area-wide and put down additional accumulations. As a matter of fact, the WPC is showing some love to eastern Ky with a slight risk of 4″ snows on that northwesterly wind…<\/p>\n
