Good Monday afternoon, gang. Let me start out by saying I’m a happy weather camper with the overall thoughts and forecast I’ve had out for days now. Lots of 3″, 4″ and 5″ snow amounts showing up for parts of central and northern Kentucky. For many, this was a record breaking snow day for the date.<\/p>\n

Speaking of record breaking snow. This is the most snow cover on record for this date across the United States. A little over 50% of the country was covered in snow as of 7 this morning…<\/p>\n

\"Snow<\/a><\/p>\n

Folks… that’s just absolutely UNREAL to see!<\/p>\n

Additional snow showers and squalls will fire up out there this afternoon and evening. Those can put down additional accumulations for some. Crashing temps will mean the wet snow and leftover water will ice up quickly. Slick roads are a given through tonight.<\/p>\n

Current temperatures<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

With record snows, we might as well throw more record cold into the mix. We certainly have that potential to see numbers drop into the high single digits and low teens. Think that’s bad? Say hello to brutal wind chill numbers…<\/p>\n

Again… UNREAL. Highs tomorrow will only reach the 20-25 degree range for many with wind chills close to 10 at times.<\/p>\n

Another arctic front approaches the region from the northwest by Wednesday night with a band of light snow…<\/p>\n

The weekend will feature a rain maker working in and that means temps will return closer to normal. Don’t get used to that… we’re likely to turn cold again for Thanksgiving week with a potential storm in the making for travelers.<\/p>\n

I highly doubt this is the last snow we see this November!<\/p>\n
