That actually matched up pretty well with the snowfall map we put out earlier Friday so we will see how it all works out. This will be a very heavy, wet snow that is likely to cause power outages and bring down trees… especially across the east and southeast where more than a foot of snow is likely in some areas.
Snows will taper to a light to moderate variety later Saturday and this will actually continue into Sunday. A good northwesterly flow will be with us Saturday night which may lead to some enhancement of the snows yet again for the east.

<\/A>Looking down the road… our clipper for Sunday night and Monday still looks to bring the chance for another accumulating snow to the region and that’s something we will deal with later this weekend. The Christmas storm is still on and should bring a mix of ice and snow to snow for us Christmas Eve into Christmas Day.
As far as the current storm is concerned… it’s all up to old man winter now to deliver the goods. Help me and your fellow bloggers out by posting the weather where you live.
