Good evening, gang. I continue to beat the drum about the increasing flood threat for the week ahead. We have two significant waves of rain coming our way. The first arrives Monday night with the next one shooting in here later in the week.<\/p>\n

Slug of moisture number one can easily drop 1″-3″ of rain across our region. The NAM…<\/p>\n

Given the melting snow, wet ground and already swollen waterways… I’m very<\/strong> surprised flood watches aren’t already out for this time period. This situation should not be underplayed given the antecedent conditions.<\/p>\n

The next heavy rainmaker arrives late Thursday into Friday and lasts into the weekend. The GFS continues to add to the numbers…<\/p>\n

Some areas could be looking at 5″ or more of rain in the next week. Folks… that would cause significant flooding conditions over more of a widespread area than what we just had a few days ago.<\/p>\n
