We have fantastic weather out there for all the egg hunts across the bluegrass state. Unfortunately, this weather isn&#8217;t going to stick around for much longer. Rounds of showers and thunderstorms return for the week ahead.<\/p>\n<p>Highs today will hit the 60s under sunny skies&#8230; enjoy!<\/p>\n<p>Scattered storms return to the region from southwest to northeast on Monday. That&#8217;s on the nose of much warmer air pushing in. Readings for the week ahead may flirt with the 80 degree mark on more than occasion. All of that comes with a stormy price as the setup is there for rounds of boomers that could bring severe weather and heavy rains back into our region.<\/p>\n<p>The setup shows a potent upper level low slowly swinging across the plains states with a nice flow from the Gulf of Mexico ahead of it&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Euro-21.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-14176\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Euro-21.png\" alt=\"Euro 2\" width=\"452\" height=\"481\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Euro-21.png 452w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Euro-21-281x300.png 281w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 452px) 100vw, 452px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s very similar to the forecast map I posted on here several days ago for the same period. It&#8217;s been a consistent signal coming from the models for the week ahead of us. In addition to the potential for strong or severe storms, heavy rain is a solid bet.<\/p>\n<p>The numbers from the computer models are worrisome&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Euro1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-14177\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Euro1.png\" alt=\"Euro\" width=\"523\" height=\"322\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Euro1.png 523w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Euro1-300x184.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 523px) 100vw, 523px\" \/><\/a>Again, models don&#8217;t handle thunderstorms too well, so you can get the numbers to skew too low.<\/p>\n<p>Given the tremendous amount of rain we&#8217;ve had over the past few weeks, additional flooding could become a problem.<\/p>\n<p>This is a pattern I don&#8217;t see totally breaking down as we roll through the rest of spring.
