Our history making run of wet weather shows little sign of letting up in the weeks ahead. This will likely cause a lot of April rainfall records to fall and that could lead us into one of the wettest springs on record. To make matters worse&#8230; the pattern is also going to turn much cooler. Sigh<\/p>\n<p>A few showers will be around today with the greatest chance across southern and eastern Kentucky. Some locally heavy downpours will be possible. Here&#8217;s what the GFS is seeing for rainfall by dark&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/GFS5.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-14247\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/GFS5.png\" alt=\"GFS\" width=\"636\" height=\"324\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/GFS5.png 636w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/GFS5-300x152.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 636px) 100vw, 636px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In between the showers, a few rays of sun will be possible with highs in the 60s.<\/p>\n<p>Another round of showers and storms will increase from south to north on Thursday. There&#8217;s a chance we could see enough rain from that to create some more localized high water issues. Temps will make a run at 70 if we can get enough sun. The GFS shows some spots getting better than 1&#8243; of rain through Thursday night&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/GFS-22.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-14246\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/GFS-22.png\" alt=\"GFS 2\" width=\"636\" height=\"321\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/GFS-22.png 636w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/GFS-22-300x151.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 636px) 100vw, 636px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Friday looks to be windy and warm with some scattered storms possible. I suspect we will see plenty of dry times as temps surge well into the 70s.<\/p>\n<p>Showers and storms should then increase into the weekend.
