The warmth around here is impressing the heck out of me and I am someone who almost a month ago said a hot end to April was on the way! <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/emoticons\/wink.png\" border=\"0\" \/> <BR><BR>Temps Friday surged into the mid and upper 80s in many areas&#8230; even with a few clouds. We recorded our first 90 degree day of the year across some areas. We even had a record high temp&#8230;<BR><BR>&#8230;RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE SET AT JACKSON&#8230;<BR><BR>AT 438 PM EDT&#8230;THE TEMPERATURE AT THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE<BR>OFFICE IN JACKSON REACHED 90 DEGREES. THIS BREAKS THE PREVIOUS<BR>RECORD OF 86 WHICH WAS SET IN 1990.<BR><BR>TODAYS HIGH TEMPERATURE ALSO MARKS THE EARLIEST DATE THE JACKSON<BR>WEATHER OFFICE HAS EVER REACHED 90 DEGREES.<BR><BR>WEATHER RECORDS FOR JACKSON DATE BACK TO 1981.<BR><BR>It doesn&#8217;t matter that the records only go back to 1981&#8230; 90 degrees this early in the year is almost unheard of my friends. You know what&#8230; i can see temps hitting 90 in some areas again today through Monday. Wow!!! <BR><BR>You can track the temps and the highs for the day here&#8230;<BR><BR><STRONG>Current Temps<\/STRONG><BR><IMG border=0 src=\"http:\/\/www.kymesonet.org\/wxmaps\/tair_f.png?nowtime=1240646958\" width=378 height=193 useMap=#curmapff><BR><BR><STRONG>High Temps<BR><\/STRONG><IMG border=0 src=\"http:\/\/www.kymesonet.org\/wxmaps\/dtmx.png?nowtime=1240646970\" width=378 height=193 useMap=#curmapff><BR><BR>The low temps won&#8217;t be outdone as&nbsp; they likely stay in the 60s through Monday with some areas having a difficult time dropping below 70 degrees. It will continue to be a windy hot spell too as southwesterly winds gust up from time to time.<BR><BR>As I look down the road into next week&#8230; I have been outlining this as possibly turning into a stormy period. Everything I am seeing right now continues to suggest that we may see a pattern where rounds of severe weather would be possible from the plains eastward into the Ohio Valley. Something to watch for in the coming days.<BR><BR>As we continue to play some &#8220;hot&#8221; tunes in honor of this hot spell.
