Good Tuesday evening folks. The snow showers today across Kentucky have been kicking up a storm… literally. Thunder and lightning have been reported across parts of the area! Local accumulations from earlier today were 2″-3″ in a few areas. This is pretty wild stuff folks for the month of April!

AS OF 2 PM THIS AFTERNOON… 2.1 INCHES OF SNOW HAS ACCUMULATED AT
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN JACKSON SINCE MIDNIGHT. THIS AMOUNT
BRINGS OUR SEASONAL SNOWFALL TOTAL UP TO 35.0 INCHES… MAKING THE
2008-09 SNOW SEASON THE 5TH SNOWIEST ON RECORD… TIED WITH THE
1984-85 SEASON. THIS ALSO MAKES THIS THE SNOWIEST SEASON SINCE
1995-96 WHEN A WHOPPING 62.7 INCHES OF SNOW FELL.
