Good afternoon everyone. We have had some stout snow showers that have been making their way southeastward across parts of Kentucky. These will continue to into the afternoon hours before winding down during this evening.

They have been putting down accumulations ranging from a half inch to as much as 2″-3″ in northeastern Ky. I picked up another 2″ of snow last night and this morning bringing my weekly total to near 10″ and 18″ for the winter. I am not trying to rub it in on my fellow snow lovers, though!

Have I made you wait long enough for a comment about next week? Well… if you are a snow lover and are wanting the big one… your faces may be doing this after looking at the latest models. The trend can no longer be ignored as they are all pretty much way to our east now with this storm meaning only a glancing shot at best from this system. Are they right? Well… only time will tell on that one but we are quickly running out of time on this one.

It’s wild that the models at this time Yesterday had a historic snowstorm from Tennessee to western New York state and today take that same storm into the eastern Atlantic Ocean for a track. Not only that… but they now show it as a regular little low.

I will keep a LOW END Winter Storm Threat going but a downgrade is likely to come later today.

It’s not like we won’t see some snow during this time because we will. Just that the BIG storm is looking VERY doubtful right now my friends.
