Good evening folks. I will start by saying thanks for all the weather reports you have been leaving for me and your fellow bloggers. I appreciate it and that’s why we are the best weather community around!

A major ice storm is well underway across much of the state and will continue overnight leading to power outages that may become widespread. The ice may be enough to take some limbs or trees down before all is said and done. Here is a look at the latest warnings…



There continues to be a ton of moisture working northeastward through the state and you can see that on our radar…

Please keep in mind the radar is trying to color code the precip based on where it “thinks” the snow\/ice and rain lines are located. As we go through the evening… it is becoming apparent that the 32 degree line is going to have a very tough time getting very far back to the north and west. Areas north and west of a line from Ashland southwest toward Richmond to near Bowling Green  will stay 32 or below all night long… especially the farther north and west you get. Southeastern Ky will see a nice temp spike this evening and you can track temps here…



My thoughts remain the same…



We will switch the ice and rain over to snow from northwest to southeast early Wednesday and this will lead to a decent accumulation of snow once again. Parts of the region may get smacked by several inches yet again. Here is a look at what the latest models are showing for snow through tomorrow…
