We have some flat out awesome fall weather days ahead of us here in the bluegrass state of Kentucky. Gorgeous skies and pleasant temps will carry us through Thursday, then things start to go the other way. That&#8217;s when a potent cold front arrives.<\/p>\n<p>Our highs will continue to run mainly in the 70s with lows in the 50s.<\/p>\n<p>Our cold front arrives Friday with an increase in showers and isolated thunderstorms&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/weather.bloginky.com\/files\/2015\/10\/Euro.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10043\" src=\"http:\/\/weather.bloginky.com\/files\/2015\/10\/Euro.png\" alt=\"Euro\" width=\"560\" height=\"310\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We still have to be on guard for a wave of low pressure developing along that front. If that&#8217;s the case, we will keep the shower threat going into the weekend. Regardless, temps come way down behind the front. Check out the forecast highs&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/weather.bloginky.com\/files\/2015\/10\/Euro-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10042\" src=\"http:\/\/weather.bloginky.com\/files\/2015\/10\/Euro-2.png\" alt=\"Euro 2\" width=\"602\" height=\"677\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Temps rebound after that, but all signs continue to point to a big shot of colder air later next week&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/weather.bloginky.com\/files\/2015\/10\/GFS.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10044\" src=\"http:\/\/weather.bloginky.com\/files\/2015\/10\/GFS.png\" alt=\"GFS\" width=\"337\" height=\"331\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Another seasonal model has updated and it continues to show a colder than normal winter across our region. This uses the ocean temperatures to construct a set of analogs to produce a forecast. It hasn&#8217;t changed at all from its earlier runs and is very similar to other seasonal models&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/weather.bloginky.com\/files\/2015\/10\/Analogs.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10041\" src=\"http:\/\/weather.bloginky.com\/files\/2015\/10\/Analogs.png\" alt=\"Analogs\" width=\"315\" height=\"451\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been hinting at being able to finally hone in on a few analogs for the coming winter. Interesting enough, 3 of those years show up on the latest CPC Ensemble Analog years for the middle of October&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/weather.bloginky.com\/files\/2015\/10\/Analogs-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10049\" src=\"http:\/\/weather.bloginky.com\/files\/2015\/10\/Analogs-2.png\" alt=\"Analogs 2\" width=\"371\" height=\"322\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Can you pick out the\u00a03 years I&#8217;m talking about?
