I wanted to drop by for a quick update on the system rolling our way for the weekend. Overall, my thoughts on the possibilities with this storm have not changed.<\/p>\n<p>The models are still showing some differences, but that&#8217;s to be expected with so much energy showing up. The GFS is looking much more reasonable with the storm&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/GFS9.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-16581\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/GFS9.png\" alt=\"GFS\" width=\"966\" height=\"355\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/GFS9.png 966w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/GFS9-300x110.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 966px) 100vw, 966px\" \/><\/a>That&#8217;s from the 12z run and the 18z run looks even better, but I didn&#8217;t have the chance to put it on here for you guys to see.<\/p>\n<p>The Canadian Model basically matched what the GFS is now seeing. The European appears to be dragging its feet a bit with the energy coming in from the southwest&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Euro7.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-16582\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Euro7.png\" alt=\"Euro\" width=\"646\" height=\"683\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Euro7.png 646w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Euro7-284x300.png 284w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 646px) 100vw, 646px\" \/><\/a>That leads to a slower arriving system that&#8217;s more detached from the main flow. That&#8217;s one of the biases of that model with southwestern energy. Still&#8230; the overall impact isn&#8217;t that different.<\/p>\n<p>What is that impact?<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Near record high temps on a strong southerly wind flow Saturday into early Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Rain and a few strong storms increase from west to east Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; High winds will be possible Sunday into Monday.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Temps crash into Monday and there&#8217;s an outside shot of a wraparound snowflake or two.<\/p>\n<p>The models continue to advertise much more of a winter looking pattern over the next few weeks.
